MLP owns and operates more than 2 million m² of warehouse real estate across Europe. At that scale, the internal data management problem had become critical: lease records, occupied space, contract terms, and rental rates were scattered across Excel spreadsheets maintained by different teams. Producing a management report could take more than a week. Keeping brokers up to date with current availability was a separate manual effort.
MLP asked us to build a web application that would centralize all tenant and property data, generate visual reports on the current state of each industrial park, and give management the analytical tools to make faster, better-informed decisions on vacancy and pricing.
We started with an internal survey — interviewing the primary users of the future system to understand how they actually worked and what data they needed at hand. From this, we documented all management requirements for data analysis, reporting, and rental situation monitoring.
With all processes mapped and functionality described, we moved to prototyping and interface design, aligned with MLP’s corporate identity. Development was done on the Laravel platform. After server deployment, we ran thorough debugging and QA before going live.
The resulting application contains complete information on all industrial parks, storage units, and tenants. It includes an interactive building map with visual markers showing space occupied by each tenant. Management can now analyze vacancy, review average pricing for any given period, and check contract terms — all in one place. Brokers receive up-to-date availability data with two clicks.
The system is actively maintained and continuously developed as the company’s needs evolve.
