Updated September 28, 2026. Third-party prices checked September 2026.

In 2026, a B2B website costs about $2,000–$5,000 for a template site, $3,000–$15,000 for a small 5–10 page site, $15,000–$80,000 for a custom site from a boutique or mid-size studio, and $80,000–$200,000+ for an enterprise build with deep integrations. A standard WordPress site can launch in 2–4 weeks, and custom builds usually take 8–16 weeks. After launch, Orangeeweb suggests budgeting 15–25% of the build cost each year for maintenance. For one fixed reference point: our 5-page Business Website is $3,800.

Below: what drives the price, what recurs after launch, how long a build takes, how to compare quotes, and what we charge. Every third-party number names its source, with a link.

Sources: template tier from Orangeeweb. The small-site range combines WPWeb Elite‘s 5–10 page sites ($3,000–$10,000) with the template or freelancer tier from Velcod and Line and Dot Studio ($5,000–$15,000). Custom and enterprise ranges are Velcod’s and Line and Dot Studio’s boutique or mid-size studio ($15,000–$80,000) and full-service agency ($80,000–$200,000+) tiers. By page count, WPWeb Elite prices 10–50 page sites at $10,000–$40,000+ and 50–300+ page sites at $40,000–$150,000+; NewMedia puts a stronger B2B marketing site at $25,000–$75,000 and enterprise sites at $100,000–$200,000+. Timelines: Orangeeweb (standard WordPress), Velcod (custom), and Line and Dot Studio (enterprise platform).

For context, Clutch reports that web design companies charge around $100–$149 an hour, and that most web design projects reviewed on its site cost less than $10,000.

What drives B2B website development cost

Quotes of $5,000 and $50,000 for “a B2B website” can both be fair, because they usually describe different jobs. These cost drivers explain most of the gap:

  • Page templates, not page count. A site with 100 product pages on one template can cost less than 20 pages that each need their own layout. Per-page pricing adds up: for SaaS sites, Line and Dot Studio says each extra page tends to add $1,500–$4,000. When DEQST, an auto parts manufacturer, added a product group with 20+ new subcategories, its catalog needed no new template.
  • Custom design vs. a template. WPWeb Elite estimates that UI/UX design takes 15–20% of a B2B website development budget, and prices custom UI design or theme customization at $3,000–$15,000. Custom design costs more up front. A template costs less, but it looks like many other sites in your market.
  • Content and copywriting. Someone has to write service pages, case studies, and spec sheets. Extatic Design prices professional content creation at $500–$5,000. In Orangeeweb’s worked example, content writing, translation, and image editing cost $5,000, half the $10,000 build.
  • CRM and marketing automation integration. B2B leads should reach HubSpot, Salesforce, or whatever sales system you use, with their source attached. WPWeb Elite prices API and third-party integrations (CRM, ERP, marketing platforms) at $4,000–$15,000, and Extatic Design puts marketing automation integration at $5,000–$20,000. A basic form connection is a much smaller job than two-way sync or lead routing, so ask which one the quote covers.
  • Catalogs, portals, and ERP. SKU catalogs, part-number search, gated price lists, and customer portals move a project into the upper tiers. WPWeb Elite lists ERP database integration and role-based permissions in its $40,000–$150,000+ enterprise tier. B2B ecommerce is a separate budget: k-ecommerce puts platform setup at $10,000–$150,000+ plus $1,000–$10,000+ a month.
  • Migration and redirects. Extatic Design puts data migration at $1,000–$10,000. Skipping 301 redirects is a common way to lose search rankings you already paid for. Here’s how to redesign a website without losing SEO.
  • Multiple buyer roles and gated content. Procurement, engineering, and finance look for different things. Separate paths, gated white papers, and qualification forms add design and development work. For Motic’s US product launch, we built pages for four buyer groups, from pathologists to hospital administrators.
  • Accessibility, compliance, security, and languages. WPWeb Elite prices GDPR/ADA compliance setup at $1,500–$5,000 and security plugins or custom modules at $500–$3,500. Extatic Design puts translation at $500–$10,000, depending on the number of languages.

Why B2B websites cost more than B2C websites

A direct-to-consumer site usually sells one product to one person in one visit. B2B buyers decide as a group, over weeks or months, and the website has to support every step. That changes the scope:

  • More proof. Case studies, specifications, and certifications answer procurement questions before the first call and build trust with people you haven’t met.
  • More audiences. An operations manager, an engineer, and a CFO need different pages and different calls to action.
  • More systems. Forms, calls, and chats have to reach your sales system, so sales can follow up and marketing can measure pipeline, not just traffic.

Hidden and ongoing costs of a B2B website

The build is a one-time cost. These costs recur, or go missing from the first quote:

  • Domain, hosting, and SSL. WPWeb Elite lists domains at $10–$20 a year, hosting at $5–$200 a month, and SSL at $0–$200 a year.
  • Website maintenance. Updates, backups, security, performance optimization, and small fixes. Orangeeweb’s rule of thumb is 15–25% of the initial build cost each year. On a $20,000 build, that’s $3,000–$5,000 a year.
  • Licenses. Premium plugins, form tools, and software seats renew every year. Ask who holds each one.
  • Content after launch. New case studies, service pages, and articles.
  • SEO and ads. Both are ongoing work with monthly fees. Ad spend is paid to the ad platforms on top of any management fee.
  • Your team’s time. Sales, operations, and engineering supply facts and approve pages. Orangeeweb values that time at $3,000 in its example.

Total cost of ownership: first year and three years

Orangeeweb’s published example adds a $10,000 custom WordPress build, $3,000 of internal staff time, $5,000 for content, and $2,000 for first-year maintenance: a total cost of $20,000 in year one. Here is the same math with our prices, counting only the build and technical care:

Uwindi optionUpfrontMonthlyYear 13 years
Business Website + Care$3,800$150$5,600$9,200
Business Website + Care Plus$3,800$250$6,800$12,800
Managed Website Plan$0 setup$350$4,200—
Uwindi prices as of September 2026. Year 1 is the upfront price plus 12 months; 3 years is the upfront price plus 36 months at current monthly prices. Content, SEO, ads, and your team’s time are not included. On the Managed Website Plan, hosting and care are part of the monthly fee. A Managed Website Plan site transfers to you after twelve paid months, so we don’t show a 3-year figure for it.

How long does it take to build a B2B website?

Velcod plans 8–16 weeks for a custom build, Few says most custom B2B projects take 10–16 weeks, and Line and Dot Studio budgets 12–16 weeks for most B2B sites and 4–6 months for an enterprise platform with custom integrations and content migration. At the small end, Orangeeweb quotes 2–4 weeks for a standard WordPress B2B site.

The build is rarely the bottleneck. Content, approvals, and access are. Our Business Website typically takes 3–4 weeks once the first payment, final content, brand assets, and access credentials are in; review time and add-ons can extend it. It’s faster than the custom-build ranges above because only the homepage direction is custom-designed. The work runs in four steps: align on goals and content, approve the homepage direction, build the remaining pages from approved components, and launch. A Custom Growth Website, with its own architecture and design system, is estimated at 8–10 weeks after the initial payment, final content, and brand assets.

How much does a B2B website redesign cost?

Budget a redesign like a new build of the same scope, then add migration and redirects. For B2B SaaS, Line and Dot Studio splits the work into a basic refresh ($10,000–$25,000), a mid-range redesign ($30,000–$80,000), and an enterprise rebuild ($100,000–$200,000+).

Refresh when your positioning still holds and the site only looks dated or slow. Rebuild when the structure can’t support new services, audiences, or integrations. ECA, a staffing and executive search firm serving private equity, came to us after a previous vendor couldn’t fix its speed and security problems. We fixed the existing site first (it reached 90/100 on Google PageSpeed), and ECA then committed to a full rebuild. To brief vendors, use our website redesign RFP template, or see how we approach a website redesign.

Is a B2B website worth the investment?

Judge the return on investment against deal value, not traffic. A quick break-even check:

  1. Estimate the gross profit from one new client in the first year. Say $30,000.
  2. Divide the website cost by that number. A $15,000 site needs half of one new client to pay back. A $3,800 site needs about an eighth.
  3. Ask whether the site, with the traffic you plan to send it, can produce that. If one contract is worth more than the site, the bar is one signed deal.

This is arithmetic, not a forecast: the $30,000 is an assumption. To plug in your own traffic and deal size, use our lost website profit calculator.

How to compare B2B website quotes

Send every vendor the same written scope. Then ask each one:

  1. How many unique page templates are included, and what does an extra page cost?
  2. Who writes and enters the content: copy, case studies, product data?
  3. Which integrations are named in the quote: CRM, marketing automation, ERP, call tracking?
  4. Are old URLs redirected, and are analytics and conversion tracking tested before launch?
  5. How many revision rounds are included?
  6. What is out of scope? Get the list in writing.
  7. What does the site cost to run after launch: hosting, care, licenses?
  8. When do you own the site, and which licenses stay with the vendor?

Red flags in B2B website quotes

Most of these are also on Velcod’s walk-away list:

  • Guaranteed rankings, leads, or ROI. Nobody controls them.
  • A “fully custom” site promised in two weeks.
  • One price with no written scope, deliverables, or revision limits.
  • Pressure to sign within 24–48 hours.
  • No written answer on ownership: when the site becomes yours, who holds the domain and analytics accounts, and which licenses stay with the vendor if you leave.
  • Hosting, care, or license fees that aren’t in the quote and show up only after launch.

How to lower the cost without losing leads

  • Phase the launch. Launch the pages that sell first, then add resources and extra service pages. WPWeb Elite lists phasing and writing your own content among the main ways to cut cost.
  • Reuse a design system. Design a few templates well, then build every other page from them.
  • Write the first draft yourself. Your team knows the specs and the objections, so editing their draft is faster than writing from scratch.
  • Start with a focused core. A 5-page site plus one campaign landing page per ad offer costs less than a 30-page build and goes live sooner. For landing page prices, see how much a landing page costs. If those pages will carry paid traffic, see our PPC management service; landing pages are quoted separately from ads management.
  • Use an open-source platform. WordPress has no license fee. You pay for the build, hosting, and plugins.

Prices as of September 2026. Care Plus is recommended for sites running active ad campaigns.

The Business Website sits at the low end of the small-site range above because its scope is fixed: up to five core pages, one designer-led homepage direction, the other pages built from approved components on WordPress and Bricks, and your final text and images. Full copywriting, positioning, keyword research, SEO strategy, and CRO research and A/B testing are separate scopes. Ownership transfers after the final website payment, with no buyout fee. Uwindi-held licenses remain Uwindi property and aren’t transferable.

When you need more than a focused 5-page website, such as multiple services or locations, custom architecture, a fully custom design system, or advanced functionality, that’s a Custom Growth Website. The Managed Website Plan fits established local and founder-led service businesses with a clear offer. It isn’t meant for complex B2B positioning or multiple buyer journeys; those start with the Business Website. We’re not the right fit if you want strategy, the website, SEO, and ads all included for $500 a month. That work takes a team, and we don’t strip it down to hit a price.

Marketing is priced separately. SEO starts at $750 a month for Essentials, with a 3-month initial term, and requires an active Care plan. Ads management starts at $1,000 a month for Local Ads, with a 3-month initial term; ad spend is paid directly to the platforms.

Examples from our B2B projects:

  • 3PL and warehousing. For Kosmos Logistic, a 3PL and fulfillment warehousing provider, we built a multi-page website with a tenant personal account and connected forms, phone, and messengers into one sales pipeline. With SEO and ads running alongside, all 12,000 m² were occupied by new tenants within 3 months of launch. See our 3PL, warehousing, and self storage work.
  • Manufacturing. Motic’s launch pages fed leads into Salesforce and Mailchimp, and conversion rates grew 3× across the landing pages during the campaign. More in manufacturing.
  • Construction. GK NEO builds commercial real estate and competes for government construction tenders. We created its name and brand and built a multi-page website with a construction cost calculator. After launch, it received more invitations to public tenders with significant contract volumes. More in construction, or browse all cases.

We don’t guarantee rankings, traffic, conversion rates, or lead volume, and no one can honestly promise them. To see packages, process, and examples, visit our B2B website development services page.

B2B website cost FAQ

How much does a B2B website cost per month or per year?

After launch, you pay for hosting, maintenance, and any marketing. WPWeb Elite lists hosting at $5–$200 a month. Orangeeweb’s rule of 15–25% of the build cost per year works out to $1,500–$2,500 a year on a $10,000 site. Our Website Care is $150 or $250 a month ($1,800 or $3,000 a year). The 1-year limited warranty on our Business Website covers build defects against the approved scope only; it isn’t ongoing care. SEO and ads are separate monthly fees, with ad spend on top.

What is the average cost of a 5-page website?

WPWeb Elite puts a small B2B website of 5–10 pages at $3,000–$10,000. The final cost depends on custom design, who writes the copy, and integrations. Our 5-page Business Website is a fixed $3,800, with a designer-led homepage direction, forms, analytics, and a technical SEO foundation. Full copywriting and integrations are quoted separately.

Is $1,500 a good price for a website?

For a basic site on a template or website builder, where you supply the copy, it can cover the build. At the $100–$149 an hour Clutch reports for web design companies, $1,500 buys about 10–15 hours of agency time. That isn’t enough for custom design, content structure, integrations, and tracking on a B2B lead generation site. Orangeeweb, writing for export-focused manufacturers, says a B2B site under $3,000 is rarely worth it, because most brands rebuild within 1–2 years. Ask exactly what’s excluded before you compare it with a larger quote.

How much does CRM or HubSpot integration add?

It depends on depth. A form that sends leads to HubSpot or Salesforce is a small job. Two-way sync, lead routing, and marketing automation take more work: WPWeb Elite prices API and third-party integrations at $4,000–$15,000, and Extatic Design puts marketing automation integration at $5,000–$20,000. On our Business Website, CRM integration is a custom quote; Custom Growth Website projects include CRM connections as scoped functionality.

Should I hire a freelancer or an agency?

A freelancer fits a small site with ready copy and no integrations. NewMedia puts freelance rates at around $40–$100 an hour and experienced B2B web design agencies at $100–$200+. An agency fits when the site needs strategy, content structure, integrations, tracking, and someone accountable after launch. Either way, compare quotes by scope, not by hourly rate.

Does AI search (GEO) readiness add cost?

The technical foundation belongs in the build. Our Business Website includes search and AI discovery readiness: technical SEO, structured content, metadata, speed, security, and accessibility. Every one of our SEO plans, from $750 a month, includes AI Search (GEO) foundations; ongoing monitoring across selected AI-search platforms starts with the Growth plan at $1,500 a month. These plans require an active Website Care plan. We don’t guarantee rankings or placement in AI-generated search results.

How much does a B2B SaaS website cost?

Line and Dot Studio puts B2B SaaS website redesigns in 2026 at $15,000–$150,000+, with boutique and mid-size studios at $15,000–$80,000. Scope, strategy depth, custom design, and technical complexity decide where you land. See our SaaS marketing page for examples.

Which platform is best for a B2B website?

For most B2B marketing sites, WordPress: it has no license fee, it’s widely supported, and its forms can send leads to HubSpot, Salesforce, and most other CRMs. HubSpot’s own CMS makes sense if your marketing team already works in HubSpot and wants the website in the same system. If buyers need to order online with account pricing, that’s a B2B ecommerce build with its own budget. We build on WordPress with Bricks.
